We believe that happy Amazon customers start with happy Amazon employees!Key job responsibilities Drive the development of the frontend applications and workflows to give Amazon hourly associates options for pay, training, and job choices Build the most extensive pay premium, job training, and career mobility options on earth Use modern technologies to solve complex problems at scale Deliver solutions that scale in volume and handle the complexity of diverse workflows and country specific rules/regulations. Own user-facing applications using proven technology such as React.js, React Native, Typescript, Stencil (Design System), Webpack, Storybook, CDK, S3, CloudFront, as well as evolving native AWS services and other technologies to create a friction free user experience. Solve the challenging problem of scaling these services to serve hundreds of thousands of Amazonians across the globe in real-time Be a technical innovator that is not afraid to challenge the norms and innovate. Execute against project plans and delivery commitments. Build highly responsive and optimized applications that power responsive, intuitive, and sleek experiences for customers. Solve complex business and technical problems by diving deep, collecting data to make well informed decisions, and using sound judgement in the face of insufficient data.A day in the lifeAll engineers participate in a daily standup, sharing what they did yesterday, what they plan to do today, and any challenges or issues they'd like to discuss as a group. You will likely begin by seeking more help than you offer up, but you will eventually provide help to others; our team is very collaborative and friendly. 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience
1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of agile software development methodology experience
Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node

The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market.
