We have a three-part mission of ending Alzheimer’s disease without losing another generation, introducing a new national standard of patient and family care that provides ongoing hope and help for patients and families living with Alzheimer’s disease related dementias, and forging new models of collaboration with scientific, medical, academic and community partners.We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our research team focused on identifying and analyzing biomarkers for neurodegenerative diseases. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research aimed at understanding the mechanisms of diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and other neurodegenerative disorders. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Ph.D. graduate with expertise in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field to advance their research career in a collaborative and innovative environment.Key Responsibilities:

Conduct research to identify and validate biomarkers for neurodegenerative diseases in blood , cerebrospinal fluid and brain tissue.

Design and perform experiments using advanced laboratory techniques, including including Simoa, mass spectrometry, and NULISA.

Perform and analyze large blood biomarker datasets the latest in automated platforms (e.g., elecsys and lumipulse).

Interpret experimental data and collaborate with the research team to develop new hypotheses and research directions.

Prepare and present research findings at scientific conferences and in peer-reviewed publications.

Stay updated with the latest advancements in the field of neurodegenerative disease research and biomarker discovery.

Mentor graduate students and assist in the supervision of laboratory technicians.

Contribute to the writing of grant proposals to secure funding for ongoing and future research projects.

This is a post-doctoral educational/training step required to achieve status as an independent researcher.CORE FUNCTIONS

Leads portions of research projects, including planning, designing, conducting, analyzing and interpreting innovative research. Collects, organizes and records data for manuscript preparation.

Participates in grant and manuscript writing.

Participates in preparing timely reports on the research findings in the form of peer-reviewed publications and scientific presentations.

Forms collaborative relationships both inside and outside of the organization, in order to increase research capabilities, resources, and funding opportunities.

This position works directly under the supervision of a designated lab head gaining valuable experience as a researcher. This position has accountability for portions of designated research projects, working collaboratively with other researchers across the system. Customers are both internal and external, including but not limited to, facility personnel and leadership, department heads, and other allied health personnel. External communications include presentations to research and health care professionals, as well as lay people of varying educational and professional backgrounds. The position requires strong initiative, excellent networking capabilities and creative problem-solving skills.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSPh.D. or M.D.Must have previous research experience, training or coursework in relevant field of research. Must possess knowledge of laboratory techniques, research methods and data collection. Requires strong communication, organization, and data analysis and evaluation skills.
