Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Marketing and Community Relations Director, support Royal Oaks’ overall sales, marketing and community public relations programs which support the mission and values of Royal Oaks.

Major Duties:

Prospect for and then meet with potential residents to inform and educate them about Lifecare and Royal Oaks. Through a consultative sales process, gain an understanding of the prospects’ desires and situation and provide thorough tours of the campus with the end goal to fill vacant living units, decrease vacancies, and add prospects to the Priority List.

Log all communications into Salesforce.

Contact prospects post-tour on a regular basis (30/60/90 days) with the goal to get them to join the Priority List or move in.

Sell prospects on the advantages of joining the Priority List; work to exceed Department goals for adding Priority List members.

Maintain thorough knowledge of top Priority List Candidates. Work diligently to get correct Priority List Candidates into correct residences. Maintain regular, on-going contact with them to keep interest in Royal Oaks high.

Keep Salesforce current and complete with all communications. Suggest reports that would help the department run more efficiently. Work with Marketing Manager to develop appropriate outreach campaigns.

Support Royal Oaks involvement in various networks, trade shows, conferences, etc. including coordinating business development and marketing activities via these relationships.

Assist Marketing Specialist when needed in move-in coordinator activities.

Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Address problems and conflicts in a professional and effective manner with staff, allowing for opportunities of learning and growth, and facilitating such opportunities in a respectful manner.

Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of each resident in the delivery of services. Interacts with residents in a manner that displays warmth and promotes a caring environment.

Interact courteously and appropriately with residents, family members, visitors, and other employees under a variety of conditions and circumstances.

Full understanding of residents’ rights, including the right to be free of restraints and free of abuse. Is responsible for promptly reporting to the Director of Health Services or Chief Executive Officer (CEO) incidents or evidence of resident abuse or a violation of residents’ rights.

Assist in maintaining a safe, neat, and clean environment. Reports all deficiencies to the appropriate person, such as equipment problems, need for repair or special needs of residents.

Upgrade skills and maintain knowledge of trade/industry advances and new technologies.

Attend and participate in training activities, seminars, and meetings.

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong consensus building skills.

Excellent sales and customer relationship skills.

Knowledge of communication strategy and marketing technology.

Excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.

Computer proficiency Microsoft Word/Excel, Outlook and Internet

Organized, able to multi-task, think creatively and adapt to different situations.

Education and Experience:

Preferably a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field.

Two years of progressive responsibility in performing sales duties within a professional service environment; or a combination of education, training and experience that would ensure the effective execution of the duties of the job.

Competency in the position through continuing education

Communication Skills:

Has outstanding communication skills; can dramatically and effectively communicate an overall vision of the enterprise to customers at all levels; importantly, can translate a vision of the organization’s future into practical, concrete specifics.

Has a clear speaking voice and is fluent in English.

Has ability to speak, work and interface with all levels of co-workers, residents, guests and employees.

Has ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Demonstrates excellent telephone and customer service etiquette.

Physical Requirements:

Has a current valid Arizona driver’s license with a good driving record.

Can stand, walk, sit, reach, and bend.

Can work alone most of the time.

Can operate a fire extinguisher

Is able to assist in the evacuation of residents

Is able to stand for long periods of time.

Must be able to hear normal to raised voices and see 50 feet; prosthetics can be used for correction.
