Responsibilities for irrigation technician:
-Operates, maintains, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs simple to moderately complex irrigation systems, including repairs to leaks in distribution lines, valves, control lines and sprinkler heads
-Responsible for turning on and checking all irrigation systems in the spring and winterizing all irrigation systems in the fall according to contracts
-Responsible for the daily and weekly general maintenance of assigned irrigation equipment
-Technician will be required to fill out time sheets and site sheets daily, including time and material used for the day
-Technician will be responsible to report to Yard Supervisor any equipment malfunctions, breaks, or misuse of safety guidelines, the same day as they are noticed
-Must be willing to take on additional duties and/or miscellaneous task on an "as needed" basis at management's discretion
-Assists in the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of simple and moderately complex irrigation systems
-Tests completed irrigation systems for adequate functioning of valves and timers
-Restocks truck to ensure supply of necessary parts and equipment
Qualifications for irrigation technician:
-Must have a valid Arizona Driver’s License with a clean driving record for the last 3 years
-The ability to utilize tools and machinery needed for irrigation repairs and construction safely and efficiently
-Minimum of 2 years previous experience in landscape irrigation maintenance is preferred
-Must be a team player who has the ability to work well with minimum supervision
-Must be dedicated, determined and dependable
