This is an on call seasonal position.
Hiring Seasonal Emergency Medical Paramedic, Fireline (EMPF)
for a Fireline Medical Team
These positions are to fill an opening on an apparatus when a Fireline Medical Team are resourced out and will be paid by VFD. Wage for Fireline Paramedic is $32.00 to $35.00 per hour depending on experience. Assignments could be up to 3 weeks and out of state. This position will get Overtime after the first 40 hrs per week when on assignment.
Minimum requirements for this position are:
Current Paramedic license. (must have Arizona state and National Registry Card.)
We can train and certify you in any items listed below if you do not have them or if they are not current.
Introduction to ICS (I-100)
NIMS: An Introduction (IS-700)
Firefighter Training (S-130)
Introduction to Wildland Fire (S-190)
Annual Fireline Safety Refresher (RT-130)
Human Factors in the Wildland Fire Service (L-180)
Or a valid “Red Card” issued by your home agency with current RT-130 Refresher Cert.
ALS or BLS CPR, and blood borne pathogen.
UTV operator safety training and maintenance training.
An arduous physical fitness level has been established for this position.
Must have a valid AZ license. Be able to pass a drug test, and a background check.
Ability to commit to 18-21 days with little to no notice.
Possess all necessary personal items for a “3-week bag”, etc. for extended assignment.
You must be able to follow directions and be physically fit to perform the required duties.
