The ESG Controller reports directly to the Head of Sustainability/ESG and works closely with the Financial Reporting Team, Internal Audit, Legal, and other cross functional teams. The ESG Controller will be responsible for development of ESG data governance and reporting framework. In this role, you will help build out and refine the foundation for ensuring the organization’s readiness for voluntary and mandatory reporting of our ESG metrics and targets and compliance with regulatory requirements.onsemi has committed to achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2040 and is in the process of setting near term Science Based Targets for Scope 1, 2, and 3. onsemi has also committed to 50% renewable energy by 2030 and 100% renewable energy by 2040.Responsibilities

Work with external consultants and internal team on the gap assessment for regulatory standards and develop timeline and implementation based on established deadlines.

Lead the design and implementation of processes and controls to ensure ESG disclosures are complete and accurate and comply with SEC, EU CSRD, and other emerging regulatory requirements.

Lead the development of appropriate methodologies and policies for the gathering, processing, and reporting of ESG data.

Work with stakeholders to design end-to-end processes and controls to help ensure that reporting requirements are met, and that ESG data used in reporting is complete, accurate, and timely.

Work with cross-functional teams to solidify, align, and implement ESG data requirements and KPIs to support the organizational ESG strategy and targets.

Prepare and forecast data to inform whether sustainability progress is on track to achieve targets, including Near Term Science Based Targets and Net Zero 2040.

Lead updates to ESG related materiality assessments and vet with Financial Reporting team and Internal Audit.

Identify needs and opportunities for improvement within the ESG data gathering, processing and reporting processes and provide practical solutions to promote continual improvement and create efficiencies while maintaining high standards of quality.

Develop solid working relationships with internal and external auditors and provide requested information and respond timely to requests.

Facilitate both limited assurance (initially) and reasonable assurance (future state).

Address compliance gaps and proactively identify opportunities to improve the ESG internal control environment to ensure consistency and transparency of ESG data, and define auditable and efficient reporting processes.

Provide regular status reporting such as KPIs to internal senior stakeholders

Provide oversight over internal and external resources to ensure accountability for timeliness and quality of work delivered.

Track other ESG related metrics, including but not limited to renewable energy instruments.

Develop training materials and delivery of training for Sustainability, Finance, and other staff around ESG-disclosures and other regulatory changes.

Up to 10% travel.

Other duties as assigned.
