We are actively seeking a dedicated Endoscopy Technician to support our mission, vision, and values at SCA Health. If you’re passionate about patient safety, teamwork, and delivering high-quality care, we’d love to hear from you.Key Responsibilities:
Assist endoscopy procedures by ensuring patient safety from external risks (chemical, electrical, mechanical, thermal).
Operate equipment safely, troubleshoot issues, and report unsafe conditions.
Advocate for patient safety, privacy, and dignity.
Handle specimens according to facility policies.
Follow infection control protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain an organized sterile field and prepare instruments and supplies.
Provide instruments and support to the endoscopist during procedures.
Ensure proper cleaning, maintenance, and preparation of endoscopy instruments and scopes.
Accurately communicate patient status during hand-off reports.
Assist in post-procedure room cleaning and preparation.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team training.
Uphold compliance with Universal Protocol and facility time-out policies.
