The Application Development Advisor provides comprehensive consultation to the business unit and IT management and staff on all phases of application programming and processes for diverse development platforms and computing environments.Must be a current contractor with Cigna, Express Scripts, or Evernorth. Evernorth is a new business within the Cigna Corporation.Responsibilities:
Candidates will need to have experience with medium-to-large-scale web/API development.
Ability to develop within “full” technology stack
Be part of a fast moving team, working with the latest tools and open source technologies
Design and develop our next generation of RESTful APIs and Event driven services in a distributed environment
Use advanced, distributed technologies to process, store, and quickly retrieve huge volumes of data
Work on a development team using agile methodologies
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
9+ Years of total software development experience with following MUST have skills:
7+ years of experience with Java full stack development
4+ years of developing and deploying applications on Open Shift
4+ years of Experience with various frameworks ( Spring Boot )
2+ years of experience working with Jenkins pipelines.
3+ years of experience working with Git.
2+ years of experience working with code scanning tools such as SonarQube and CheckMarx
3+ years of experience working with Open-source technologies.
Excellent understanding DevOps processes and tools like GetHUB
Experience with developing Micro and Application Services
Excellent understanding of APIs
Understanding of various security patterns and implementing solutions with external partners
Knowledge of Databases: Oracle,
Version Control and Version Control Systems
Experience with Logging, Error Handling and Dashboards (DyanaTrace, Splunk etc)
Experience with Production Support Policies and Procedures
Analytical problem-solving skills.
Excellent Communication Skills
Ability to develop knowledge of all Cigna.com products.
Identifies and takes initiative to implement improvement opportunities.
Possesses an insatiable appetite for learning, and continuously pursues new learnings that add value to the team’s knowledge base.
