Seeking a reliable Holiday Relief Carrier (HRC) to support mail handling and delivery on contract routes for the 2025 Holiday Season surge with the opportunity for permanent / full-time role depending on performance and business needs.
Mon / Wed / Fri, 7:00 AM – finish (typical day 3–4 hrs); Occasional longer coverage blocks may occur (up to 6-hr shifts during peak or coverage days). - - More days may be added as volume increases.
1099-contractor
- Casing mail prior to transport.
- Separating parcels and safely loading the vehicle.
- Driving to assigned route(s), unloading, and delivering mail with 99% accuracy.
- Timekeeping: log in on arrival; record departure time, return time to the post office, and log out at end of day.
- Adhere to all USPS/HCR rules & procedures, safety practices, and chain-of-custody standards.
- Maintain professional interactions with customers and postal staff; complete light administrative tasks as required.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to provide a 5-year MVR report (clean driving history required).
- Passport-style photo provided later at your expense ($20 CVS/Walgreens)
- Ability to pass a federal fingerprint background check
- Physical ability: lift 50 lbs un-aided; stand for extended periods; stoop, kneel, reach overhead; frequent vehicle entry/exit.
- Language: Proficient in English
- Weather ready: work safely in extreme heat/cold, rain, and snow.
- Available days immediately following federal holidays.
Must reside in or near the service area for reliable reporting.
High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
