Faith, Family, Fitness and Freedom. These are the values of our company. Beginning in 2000 I built Hair By Joey Seattleone of the most successful micro salons in Seattle Washington. After building my brand over 15 years, in 2015 I expanded my team offering almost complete autonomy and fantastic money for my stylists. For the last 4 years, my team of 4 stylists made 2-3 times what the average Seattle stylist made (60-90k a year) working the schedule they wanted to work, co creating the world they wanted to work in. During that time, I transitioned my family to Prescott Arizona and began building my barbering skills. In January 2019 I opened Hair By Joey Prescott. Over the past two years we have added another 3 wonderful stylists to the team as well as 3 junior stylists in training. Our senior stylists are currently booked out 2-3 weeks and making between 50 and 70k a year. We are now looking for an experienced stylist to work 1-3 days (or nights) a week. You provide your own tools and talent, we provide the clientele. Simple as that.
Our plan is to continue building the best hair team in Prescott one A player at a time. With one of our people scheduled to move in January, It's now time for us to think about our next expansion. Coming on board with us, you will be supported by a full blown internet and print advertising campaign. You will be joining the most high end, most exclusive, most professional and highly rated salon in Prescott. Our stylists will make great money, have a lot of autonomy and only be asked to work with the very best most professional folks in the business. Zero drama. For a the right person, there will even be the possibility of profit sharing and buying the business (or a franchise location) in the next 15 years.
My wife and I are healthy, stable, professional, family people who only work with the same. Work/life balance is key for us. Working with people we love is key. Being the right values/vision fit will be the most important component in whomever we hire. Second will be skill. The right fit will be fantastic with cuts, colors, highlights and most importantly grey blending. Being able to knock out a great women's haircut in 45 minutes is a plus. The ability to double book with your foils and do a full foil and hair cut in two hours and 15 minutes is a plus. A familiarity with Redken is a plus. Ideally, you will be comfortable with both men's and women's hair though men's grooming is not a requirement. Our salon is focused on an older, monied more conservative clientele so think more beautiful, classy, blended colors and precise foils rather than high impact rainbow stuff (though that skill set can come in handy too). Our stylists will be into showing up on time, working hard, speaking and dressing professionally and loving on people. A glowing customer service sensibility will be key. We have nothing but hundreds of 5 star reviews for a reason we know what we're doing, we love what we do and we love our clients.
In addition to a 50% commission split, we are offering a generous retail split and possibilities for bonuses based on revenue. We're looking for someone who's looking for a long term situation. Our stylists are like family. When we bring someone on, their dreams become some of our dreams.
