POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Director of Maintenance, the Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing daily tasks to maintain the appearance, and good operating condition of the facilities that are assigned to him/her.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED

Minimum High School Diploma/GED required.

Minimum of 2 year of experience in general maintenance repair work including basic carpentry, plumbing and electrical skills.

Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.

CPO Certification preferred.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs general carpentry tasks in the repair or installation of doors, windows, shelving, cabinetry, and similar tasks.

Responsible for minor electrical and plumbing repairs and provides an assessment of the need for more significant repairs to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Maintains a clean work environment. Clean areas and dispose of garbage in accordance with the facility schedule.

Reports on progress completing maintenance jobs that are assigned.

Completes all maintenance tasks in a professional manner, complying with all safety rules.

Maintains an up to date understanding of fire and safety regulations as applicable to his/her areas of responsibility.

Accept and transport deliveries of supplies, furniture, and other program materials.

Provide back up in emergency safety situations.

Perform other duties as related to the needs of the Clubhouse and Athletic Center

Work orders receive prompt attention and are completed in a timely manner.

Emergency situations are handled safely and professionally.

Related duties are performed completely, accurately and on time.

May require lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds without assistance.

This is a good position for an up and coming person that enjoys working with their hands, likes to tinker and is eager to learn.
