Seeking compassionate Caregivers to work in private home with two talented teenagers who have special needs, including Autism.
College students are encouraged to apply, as we can schedule part-time work hours around a college schedule.
Caregivers:
- provide direct supervision
- maintain therapeutic environment
- encourage independence with self-care
- implement routines and schedules
- model appropriate social skills
- facilitate activities
- support during community outings
- assist with household tasks (cleaning, cooking, laundry)
- provide goal-directed habilitation
Caregivers must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Must also be reliable, calm, patient, proactive and teachable.
Must possess or have the ability to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification, an Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card and DDD Article 9 training. Must have an excellent driving record, including current vehicle insurance and registration.
Prior experience working with children or adults who have special needs a plus, but not required.
Caregivers are needed during the academic year and summer months. Hours are available weekdays, evenings and weekends. For the right candidates, we can schedule summers-only hours.
Caregivers are hired and managed by Core Support through its direct-care contract with Arizona's Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD). Core Support partners with this parent to recruit and train Caregivers for these clients.
