Experienced Caregiver needed as relief support to full time live-in caregiver for a lovely, pleasant, and very alert 80 yr old bedridden woman in a relaxed and calm environment. Certified preferred, but not required with substantial experience.
Duties are task specific at a comfortable pace, 11am-5pm. This includes:
1) Bathing with shampoo, sheet change with transfer to chair, washing and folding of sheets and towels used, diaper change if needed (approx 2 hrs);
2) Maintaining a clean house that includes the patient's unused bathroom, dusting, vacuuming and mopping of the kitchen, main living area, hallway, laundry area, and patient room (approx 2 hrs);
3) Preparation of dinner entrée with cleanup (approx 60-90 min). Must be a reasonably good cook and able to follow patient preferred recipes.
Excellent bathing and time management skills are required without physical limitation. The weekday to be chosen is flexible and will be agreed upon at time of hire. Flexibility to fill-in additional days when needed is helpful. The position may ultimately transition to 2 days per week, but not mandatory.
Support Caregiver may request to switch their workday during the week when needed. It is requested that no more than 4 weeks be taken off per year, nor more than 1 week during a 30 day period. A 2 week notice is requested if needing to depart employment. Hourly wage $22.
