- Process development and capability studies.
- Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Actions System (FRACAS) and root cause analysis in factory and supplier environments.
- Participate in design for manufacturing and production readiness reviews.
- Basic design, commission and debug process assembly/test equipment.
- Electronic component knowledge.
- Failure analysis.
- Schematic interpretation.
- BOM and Router creation and maintenance in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
- Technical writing and maintenance of factory work instructions.
- Perform design and MSLA 3D printing of manufacturing aids.
- Statistical analysis application on process capabilities.
- Application of structured approaches to problem solving (Ishikawa, Pareto, etc.).
- Application and use of Lean Six Sigma to manufacturing environment.
- Support of, and observation of, CAC policies and procedures related to the Quality Management System, and certifications held by CAC (e.g., AS9100C, etc., NADCAP). Performance management and continuous improvement in:
- Quality
- Schedule
- Cost
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives through participation in events affecting their area of responsibility, for sustaining efforts and continuous improvement.
- Comply and uphold Canyon Aeroconnect, Safety Health and Environmental (SHE) policies and standards.
- Comply with the Canyon Aeroconnect Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
- Knowledge of basic product, test equipment and fixture design
- Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
- Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
- Knowledge of IPC and J-STD soldering practices.
- Knowledge of ASME Y14.5M tolerance standard
- Familiarity with AutoCAD R13 software and ability to operate Solidworks
- Read and understand basic electronic schematics and PCB assembly drawings
- Lean Six Sigma knowledge applied
- KNOWLEDGE - Full use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Knowledge/exposure to AS9100, FAA and ISO desired;
- JOB COMPLEXITY - Works on problems of moderate scope and complexity, where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
- DISCRETION/LATITTUDE - Works under general supervision. Follows established procedures. Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment, and overall adequacy and accuracy
- MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE - Bachelor's Degree (or the equivalent combination of education and experience) and 3 years of related experience. LEAN Six Sigma certification desired
- Support On Time To Promise (OTTP) and First Pass Yield (FPY) as defined per OPERATIONS KPI
- Tasks involve light physical effort in sedentary to light work; may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects or materials (20-30 lbs.)
