Looking for a career in healthcare where you can make a real difference in people's lives? This is a great opportunity for the right person who wants to be a Vision Therapist. We have a small clinic that treats patients of all ages, including those with special needs. We treat "lazy" eyes, binocular vision disorders, vision related learning disabilities, and vision changes after stroke or brain injury.
This is an entry-level position with an extended training period. The position will be primarily one-on-one patient care working with our patients who range in age from infants to the elderly. Some administrative work is also required including but not limited to answering the phone, processing payments, making copies, and maintaining a clean office space. We have a fast-paced office and multi-tasking is a must!
Many of our younger patients need after-school appointments, so both full-time and part-time applicants must be available to work during after school hours. Applicants should be aware that we are routinely in the clinic until 6:30 pm or later.
Successful candidates must be able to see 3D (we will be testing this ability during the interview), have no criminal record and be able to pass a background check and fingerprinting. Any tattoos must be able to be covered with normal office attire. Basic computer literacy is required. Good communication, creative problem-solving, and organizational skills are critical to success in the position. Experience in the medical or the educational field is a plus but not required.
Full-time and part-time positions are available.
