Qualifications Required
White Mountain Trucking is seeking a DOT Safety Compliance Manager to join our team. Must have in-depth knowledge of FMCSA and DOT compliance, Insurance Administration, Claims Management, Driver Qualification and Hiring Standards, Driver Training Programs and more.
Must have experience in DOT Safety and Compliance in the Transportation industry.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills needed with the ability to effectively communicate with drivers and management staff.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
Strong work ethic along with a professional and positive attitude
Responsibilities
Lead and set the example for the Safety & Compliance department
Create and promote a positive safety culture that recognizes and rewards safety above all else
Investigate accidents, determine liability, and create a corrective action plan where necessary
Main point of contact for fleet-related insurance claims and inquiries
Identify and proactively correct driver behavioral trends that could negatively affect our safety scores
Monitor, maintain, and support all compliance-related administrative functions with the FMCSA and other state-based organizations
Create, enforce, and update department policies and procedures as appropriate to maintain the operational safety of the company
Create safety goals and ensure they are actively pursued,
Responsible for ensuring the operation and oversight of ELDs and onboard diagnostics tools; while ensuring the data is monitored daily to identify potential safety concerns resulting from harsh braking, speeding, HOS violations, etc
Creates a positive work environment while providing clear objectives and performance expectations for staff
