Established busy GC is looking for A working superintendant with min of 5 years experience In Residential/Commercial construction , who is reliable, can read drawings, has good carpentry skills, has their own tools and transportation, knows how to do daily updates and photos, can handle building departments (permits/inspections), can schedule subcontractors according to the schedule provided by the Project Manager, is familiar with ADA regulations, is respectful and willing to work with others, can lead a crew efficiently, and can keep a clean and organized jobsite.
Must have knowledge and be able to work as needed as a team player.
Experience is a MUST!
Must Be a Self Starter
Must know how to shop at home depot and other hardware stores
Must be creative and think outside the box
Must do very clean work
Must have own truck .
Must have own tools.
Must be organized
Must have great communication skills (must follow-up after each job and contact office if there are any issues)
Must have tile expereicne
Must know basic plumbing
Must know how to do drywall repairs the right way
Must have carpentry skills
Knowledge of light Electrical a plus
Superintendant experinence of a minimum 5 years
Duties and Responsibilities:
Phyiscially Working as needed Must be fast paced
able to Manage project subcontractors
Schedule and manage project workflow on a daily basis including subcontractors, vendors, laborers and City Inspections.
Interact and respond to building inspectors.
Complete general carpentry tasks and misc. work not covered by subcontractors. (i.e. fixture installation, misc. trim carpentry)
Requirements:
Experience as Superintendent with past projects (submit past work with resume)
Ability to read and interpret documents (blue prints, city documents, etc.)
General trade knowledge
Must have own tools and transportation
Excellent communication skills
Experience in commercial interior construction
Experience in residential construction
Computer literacy.
Estimating experinece a plus
NO Drama
This position Is an entry level position with the opportunity to escalate to a Field Supervisor -Versus - a "Working Supervisor " The diference is a working supervisor will be required to do the work as needed in the field .
You are part of our team and involved from start to finish of a project. Your involvement in the project begins after PM has awarded subcontracts and continues through the completion of punch-list work.
