We are one of the top Lutron dealers in the country and in addition to blinds and shades, offer an unlimited assortment of fully custom soft window fashions and drapery, meticulously handcrafted by our trusted custom workroom. Each product must be installed beautifully with proper carpentry methods and artistic flair.
Position Summary
At Budget Blinds of Scottsdale, we’re growing and looking for an incredible installer to join our team! If you are handy, have a positive spirit, and desire to provide a high-level customer service experience then we want to hear from you! The Window Treatment installer is expected to interact with all clients professionally and with a service mindset. Additionally, the Window Treatment Installer is responsible for maximizing operational efficiencies, providing quality work, and be able to solve problems that may be encountered in the field. The Window Treatment installer helps deliver a high level of quality work and customer service in line with the standards of Budget Blinds of Scottsdale.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Interact with all clients in a professional and service-oriented mindset
Install new window coverings, including but not limited to blinds, shades, shutters, draperies, and motorized products
Must confidently install in a wide range of surfaces from wood to drywall to metal, brick, and cement
Remove old window coverings and dispose of them properly
Troubleshoot and problem-solve in the field
Perform in-field window covering repair
Leave client’s home clean and free from damage, debris, dust, etc.
Turn in all required paperwork and field reports and collect balances from clients
Effectively work with owners and admin staff and sales associates in a small team environment. Be able to give effective and quality feedback on any field issues
Work with Installation Manager to maximize efficiencies
Maintain work van, tools, and equipment in clean and operational condition
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (required)
Must be well-groomed, professional, and presentable in physical appearance
Friendly, courteous, and pleasant with all types of people
Possess a professional work ethic demonstrated by being reliable, dependable, responsible, and mature
Preference is given to those with previous window covering experience
Secondary priority is given to work experience in the trades
Can perform physical work with no limitations or restrictions
Can lift up to 50 lbs
Very comfortable with ladders, stairs, scaffolding, bending, stooping, and climbing
Must be able to operate small power tools, drills, saws, etc
Can read and take accurate measurements
Telephone, written, and verbal communication skills are easily understood and meet the high level of professionalism provided by Budget Blinds of Scottsdale to its clients
We will provide
Full-time work in 5 days a week, typically ranging from 7:30AM – 5:00PM. Occasional overtime may be required
Salary is based on your experience and begins at $37,500/yr for apprentices, while veteran installers can expect $70,000/yr and up
Paid installer training and certifications
Opportunities to attend industry-related conferences
Real-time support in the field
Work vehicle and all tools provided
Company credit card for gas and expenses
10 days paid PTO in first year (accrued on a schedule of hours earned per month)
Paid holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Fourth of July, and Labor Day
Compensation
For the exceptional performance of his responsibilities, the Business shall compensate the Employee as follows:
Base Compensation: Beginning at $37,500/YR for apprentices, $70,000/yr for veterans.
