Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Trailer Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trailer or equipment maintenance and repair, with a passion for delivering high-quality service to our customers. This role will involve diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining trailers of various types, ensuring they are safe and roadworthy.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance checks on trailers, including brakes, lights, tires, and suspension systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with trailers.
Repair or replace damaged or worn parts such as brakes, axles, couplers, wiring, panel replacement.
Conduct inspections to ensure trailers meet safety and regulatory standards.
Complete service and repair records accurately and promptly.
Collaborate with team members to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
Keep work area clean and organized, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in trailer technology.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a Trailer or Equipment Service Technician or similar role.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of trailer systems, components, and repair techniques.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and efficiency.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Willingness to participate in training and professional development opportunities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pre-employment drug screen is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience working with various types of trailers, including utility, flatbed, enclosed, and dump trailers a plus.
Familiarity with welding and fabrication techniques a plus.

Pay: Hourly plus commission - the right candidate should earn $70K/year
