We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Sandblaster to join our team. The Sandblaster is responsible for cleaning, smoothing, and preparing surfaces by blasting them with abrasive materials using high-powered equipment. This role plays a critical part in surface preparation for painting, coating, or finishing of various materials such as metal, concrete, or wood.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces for painting, coating, or finishing.
Select appropriate abrasive materials and techniques based on surface type and job requirements.
Inspect surfaces to determine condition and identify necessary blasting work.
Maintain proper pressure and angle while blasting to achieve the desired surface profile.
Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Set up and maintain blasting equipment and work area.
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
Disposing of used materials and waste in accordance with company and environmental regulations.
Maintain detailed records of work performed and materials used.
