Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Framing Foreman to oversee and manage framing operations on our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in framing, excellent leadership abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret architectural plans, details, and specifications to plan and execute framing tasks accurately.
Perform layout for walls, soffits, ceilings, and other structural elements in accordance with project plans and specifications.
Self-perform job duties as needed.
Perform material takeoffs and coordinate the ordering and delivery of materials to ensure timely availability.
Lead and supervise framing crews, typically ranging from 4 to 12 team members, ensuring work is completed correctly and efficiently.
Ensure that all safety standards and OSHA regulations are met daily at each job site.
Communicate effectively with the Project Management team to ensure schedules and budgets are met.
Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans, adjusting as necessary due to weather, supply delivery, and personnel.
Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget.
Resolve conflicts or miscommunication that may arise on-site promptly and amicably.
Report project status to project managers and superintendents.
Collaborate with project managers to address any issues or changes to the project scope.
Ensure job site cleanliness and compliance with all safety standards.
Train, mentor, and provide feedback to construction crew members.
Report daily progress and challenges to management.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Framing Foreman or in a similar supervisory role in construction.
In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Ability to communicate and report effectively.
Problem-solving abilities.
Good physical condition and stamina.
High school diploma is considered a plus but is not required.
Proficient in using construction software or willing to learn.
Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment.
Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
OSHA certification and Lift Operator certification.
Proficiency in both English and Spanish is often preferred.
