Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter who is confident in both rough and finish carpentry. This individual must be proficient in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings and capable of leading framing tasks and executing high-level trim work including crown molding, baseboards, and detailed wood finishes. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, takes pride in craftsmanship, and thrives in a team-oriented, high-quality remodeling environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and engineered plans.
Lead and perform rough carpentry tasks including framing walls, ceilings, door/window openings, and structural components.
Execute high-end finish carpentry, including installation of baseboard, casing, crown molding, and custom trim details.
Execute installations of door and window units and cabinetry.
Prepare daily with appropriate materials, tools, and manpower to meet project goals.
Maintain a company vehicle with an organized inventory of tools and consumables.
Collaborate directly with the superintendent and project managers to keep projects on schedule.
Mentor and direct journeyman and apprentice carpenters.
Coordinate and communicate effectively with subcontractors and other trades.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site at all times.
Perform and oversee daily quality control of completed work.
Use remodeling software app to document daily progress with photo updates.
Communicate professionally with clients as needed regarding work status or questions.
Compensation & Benefits:
$25–$30.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Company Vehicle will be provided, and fuel will be paid for (after 90-day probation is completed)
PTO/PSTO accrued hourly
All major tools and equipment will be provided.
Work Schedule:
10-hour shifts (15-minute paid break, unpaid lunch)
Day shift, 6–7am start time
Monday through Thursday
Overtime as needed
Requirements/Experience:
Valid Arizona Driver’s License with acceptable driving record. No moving violations within the past 3 years preferred
Must be able to pass background check
Smart Phone with internet access
Must be able to lift, push & pull up to 75 pounds with no restrictions
Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in residential carpentry (both framing and finish work)
Demonstrated leadership experience in managing tasks or small teams
Excellent understanding of construction drawings and structural layout
Exceptional skills in detailed finish carpentry
Reliable, hardworking, and committed to quality craftsmanship
Strong communication and organizational skills
Willingness to continue learning and growing with the company
