Lead Fabricator – ShadePlus
Location: 1545 E yucca St, Phoenix az 85020
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, weekends as needed.
Pay: $25 - $40/hr (Based on experience) + Growth Opportunities. OT Allowed, must be approved on a per project basis.
Benefits: Flexible personal time (as needed) + 1 week vacation every 6 months.
About Us:
ShadePlus specializes in manufacturing and installing louvered pergolas and solid roof shade structures, including custom-shaped designs to fit unique spaces. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a skilled Fabricator to take ownership of our production process, ensuring quality craftsmanship and efficiency. This role will begin as an independent position, but as our company expands, it will transition into a management role, overseeing a team of fabricators and playing a key role in production planning and operations. This role will start as an independent position, but as our company expands, it will evolve into a leadership role, where you will be responsible for building and leading a team of fabricators to support increasing production demands. We are looking for someone who will think and act like an owner, not an employee.
About the Role:
As our Fabricator, you’ll be responsible for:
Cutting & Preparing Materials – Reading and following a Blueprint.
Frame Fabrication – Assembling the initial frame of pergolas and shade structures, including custom-shaped designs when needed, and ensuring all necessary hardware (custom mounting brackets, support beams, nuts, bolts, touch-up paint, etc.) is included.
Packing & Loading – Preparing, palletizing, and loading materials onto the trailer the day before a scheduled installation.
Vehicle & Yard Maintenance – Ensuring the workspace, tools, and company vehicles are well-maintained and organized.
What We’re Looking For:
Hard Skills:
Proficiency in metal fabrication and cutting materials accurately
Experience operating saws, drills, grinders, and other welding/building tools,
Ability to read and interpret cut sheets and blueprints
Ability to create custom mounting solutions based on project requirements
Experience with packing and loading materials for transport
Ability to lift 80lbs and move carefully with it.
