Ironwood Mills is an independently owned and operated furniture maker and urban hardwood yard, specializing in handcrafted wood furniture and steel fabrication for residential and commercial use. We use all locally sourced hardwoods that we personally harvest from all around the valley. Our mission is to save and utilize this underused resource creating quality, one-of-a-kind hand-crafted furniture. We are looking for a skilled woodworker-fabricator to build furniture, custom projects, and help run the shop.

We build modern dining room tables, coffee tables, bar tops, shelves, river tables and custom art pieces from hardwood slabs.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for a craftsman, fabricator and furniture maker that can work with live-edge and dimensional lumber. Steel fabrication experience a plus. This individual will also be able to organize a workshop as well as perform maintenance on equipment and keep all workspaces clean. Additionally, you will be trained to interact with customers and make sales of hardwood slabs and shop services.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

-Min. 5 years woodworking/fabrication experience

-Steel Fabrication (a plus but not required)

-Knowledge of tools

-Prepare and set up machines and tooling for woodwork

-Exceptional attention to detail

-Must be able to work independently as well as with a team

-Safety and experience with carpentry saws (chop saw, table saw, miter saw, band saw, routers, jointers, planer etc.)

-Operate woodworking, milling and sanding machines

-Use hand tools to trim pieces or assemble products

-Select and adjust the proper cutting, milling, boring, and sanding tools for completing a job

-Ensure that products meet company standards and project specifications, making adjustments as necessary

-Advanced sanding and finishing experience for creating the perfect finish on all products

-Lift wood pieces onto machines, either by hand or with hoists

-Listen for unusual sounds or detect excessive vibration in machinery

-Available for off-site installations and delivery of furniture

-Must have reliable transportation

-Able to lift 100lbs minimum (with ability to move and organize heavy slabs)

-Ability to complete sales on register

-Availability: Monday - Friday

-Hours: Requesting availability from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

-Shop is open Monday-Friday 8:00-4:00pm

-Looking for PART to FULL-TIME 35-40 hours/week

-30 DAY TRIAL WORK PERIOD
