Operators are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment to support daily construction tasks. You are responsible for maintaining equipment, following safety protocols, and assisting the crew as needed to ensure projects are completed to the highest standard. Must have transportation and a valid driver's license
Responsibilities:
Ability to safely and efficiently operate company-owned and rented equipment
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work site
Fuel, grease, clean, and check fluids in machinery daily
Clean windows, sweep interior, and remove trash daily from machinery
Monitor and report machine hours, malfunctions, and maintenance needs
Assist with other site duties as needed including shoveling and raking as needed
Manage dust control by watering required areas
Sweep sidewalks and pavement / concrete areas near the construction entrance as needed
Safely flag & direct trucks and equipment entering or exiting the job site
Adhere to ALL safety protocols and report any hazards immediately
Set up laser-checking elevations & grades on-site
Read and interpret plans, elevations, and specifications
Handle and unload materials, ensuring proper storage and organization
Traffic control set up and tear down when needed
Clock in and out of tasks daily with clear notes describing completed tasks for the day with pictures
Maintain clear communication with site crew and office at all times
Skills:
Heavy equipment operating skills with a variety of equipment (Front End Loaders, Skid Steers, Excavator)
Must have interpersonal, problem-solving, and planning skills
Demonstrates leadership, integrity, quality, and teamwork
A keen eye for detail and an understanding of how everything works together
A quick learner with the ability to multitask
Ability to work with a team
