Responsibilities include construction materials testing of soils, concrete and asphaltic concrete and other materials in a laboratory.
Obtain certifications for ACI (compressive strength), ATTI (soil and aggregate, and Asphalt), Conduct laboratory testing using the appropriate equipment and methods.
Be able to lift up to 80 pounds of material in a 5 gallon bucket on an occasional basis. Be able to handle construction materials effectively and safely on a routine basis.
Understand and use mathematical formulas to obtain test results. Know how to read construction documents to determine project details and specifications.
Report laboratory test results into spreadsheets and/or database as assigned. Interact with Project Manager, Contractors, Clients, Inspectors and other employees.
Proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Outlook and Excel programs. Input test data into an Excel spreadsheet and submit project information electronically on a daily basis. Use Outlook to obtain job assignments, communicate with other staff members and manage time.
Requirements:
High school diploma or a G.E.D. certificate required.
Must want to work with construction materials(soils, concrete and asphalt) . This is not a "clean or biomedical" lab.
