Job description
Experience & Skills:
Proven experience in sewing and fabricating custom drapery, valances, roman shades, and other soft window treatments
Strong knowledge of fabric types, lining options, interlining, pleating styles, and drapery construction techniques
Skilled in operating industrial sewing machines, sergers, and hand-finishing tools
Ability to follow detailed work orders, design specs, and measurements accurately
Experience working with patterns, templates, and cutting layouts
High attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues independently
Physical Requirements:
Comfortable working on your feet and handling large fabric panels
Ability to lift rolls of fabric or completed panels (up to 40 lbs)
Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Other Qualifications:
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in custom drapery or soft furnishings fabrication (workroom experience preferred)
Strong time management and organizational skills to meet project deadlines
Team player with a positive, professional attitude
Willingness to learn new techniques and maintain high-quality standards
Bonus Skills (Not Required, but a Plus):
Experience with motorized window treatments or drapery hardware installation
Upholstery or pillow fabrication skills
Pattern drafting or CAD layout experience

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
