The Remson Group, a locally owned, Commercial General Contractor, is seeking to hire a qualified Construction Superintendent – Full Time.
We are looking for a superintendent who is potentially willing to travel as we have multiple projects coming up between Tucson and Phoenix. Experience of candidate will determine which project they are best fit for. The ideal Superintendent candidate would be self starting, detail oriented, process driven, analytical individual, with good communication skills, looking to use their skill set to ensure a project is successfully delivered on time, meets quality expectations and is on budget.
Superintendent duties:
Develop and maintain project schedules
Identify the proper means and methods to safely, efficiently, and effectively deliver the project on time and within budget
Implement safety and quality guidelines, and hold trade contractors responsible for such guidelines. Backcheck installation of all subcontractors work.
Plan inspections, and work with inspectors ensure building codes are met
Collaborate with the subcontractors, owners, architects, engineers and the like to resolve any issues that may arise during the construction process, and come up with timely and effective solutions for the project.
Enforce a clean and presentable jobsite at all times
Maintain daily reports and photos of the jobsite for documentation
Identify and plan for long lead items and potential supply chain issues as necessary
Inventory and manage owner provided materials to jobsite
Keep project manager informed of project schedule and status. Identify any potential costs impacts on unforeseen conditions or change orders and present to project manager for solutions to owner.
Effectively communicate and hold meetings with all parties to support and facilitate the overall project success.

Qualifications for superintendent
5 years experience at superintendent level minimum
Proficient in Microsoft products
Ability to write reports, and professionally communicate via phone and email with trade partners, owners, architects, engineers and city officials.
Proficiently read construction documents and specifications
Excellent communication skills
Detail oriented individual with an eye for quality, safety and regulatory compliance
Must be able to physically stand, sit, crawl, climb ladders and the like for several hours at a time
Experience in dealing with demanding clients and schedules, and ability to develop creative solutions.
