FAA Repair Shop has opening for a Buyer, this position is responsible for purchasing all products required by the Spectrum Aerospace team. On a day-to-day basis, this typically includes hardware listed on various Bills of Materials, safety equipment, paints and chemicals, miscellaneous shop supplies such as tooling, etc. They maintain relationships with vendors via phone and e-mail, and negotiation of parts pricing is critical. They monitor the Master Parts List to assure the accuracy of shelf life information, alternative part numbers, and parts availability on the market. Purchase Orders are to be monitored once placed, and the arrival status passed along to the team. They work closely with salespersons and the shop and possess the ability to communicate clearly. This individual balances multiple tasks at once and is capable of shifting to more pressing tasks at a moment’s notice. They must be confident with navigating computer programs, have a grasp on basic files and applications, read and comprehend English. Pre-employment drug test is required.
