Our medical office is looking for a front desk receptionist who is personable, professional and has excellent communication skills. Responsibilities shall include but not limited to the following:
Greet and check in patients with a positive and welcoming attitude
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls appropriately
Schedule and confirm appointments using electronic medical records (EMR)
Collect and verify insurance information and patient demographics
Manage patient check-out, including collecting payments and providing receipts
Maintain a clean and organized front desk and waiting area
Communicate effectively with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
Perform general administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or healthcare admin certification a plus
1+ year of experience in a medical office or customer service role preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance is a plus
Proficient with computers and EMR systems
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills
Professional appearance and dependable work ethic
