Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join dynamic team at our state-of-the-art structural steel fabrication shop. As a Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of our facility. This is a leadership role that requires strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively manage a team. This role is critical in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of our automated machinery and equipment, including forklifts, to maintain our reputation for quality and reliability in the industry.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all maintenance operations, ensuring optimal functionality of automated equipment and machinery used in steel fabrication.

Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy, including preventive maintenance schedules, equipment inspections, and repair protocols.

Manage and oversee the maintenance team, providing training and support to enhance skills and ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols.

Collaborate with operational and production teams to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.

Maintain and manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies.

Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and standards as well as company policies and procedures.

Analyze equipment failures and implement measures to prevent future occurrences.

Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or installations.

Requirements:

- Proven experience in maintenance management or similar role, specifically within a structural steel fabrication environment.

- Strong technical knowledge of automated fabrication machinery and equipment, including forklifts.

- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

- Strong leadership abilities with experience in supervising a team.

- Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills.

-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

-Relevant technical certification or degree in engineering, maintenance management, or a related field is preferred.
