JANITOR POSITION:
We have an immediate opening for a full-time Janitor. This position requires regular onsite attendance and will be responsible for keeping the interior and exterior areas of the buildings properly cleaned and maintained. Candidates should expect a significant amount of outdoor exposure year-round. Typical work hours are between 6:00am - 2:30pm Monday - Friday. Some over time may be available, but not guaranteed. JANITOR SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform various functions in keeping buildings cleaned and properly maintained.
Clean and maintain building floors by sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, and vacuuming them.
Clean and maintain offices, restrooms, breakrooms including the tables, chairs, desks, appliances, and all other furniture used in the office or the entire building.
Make sure that waste bins are emptied daily to avoid trash littering around.
Restock or resupply restroom papers daily and make sure the toilets are in a good condition.
Clean windows, doors, glasses, and mirrors.
Maintain the supply and equipment needed for cleaning duties.
Take good care of the environment or building to make sure that hazardous materials are removed.
Take careful safety measures in the use of chemicals which can be harmful to the body or can damage things.
Perform company errands using personal or company vehicle.
Operating hand power tools, hydraulic power tools, and heavy power tools.
May perform routine maintenance on vehicles and perform inspections.
May make minor repairs to plumbing, electrical, heating, and cooling systems in a building if applicable.
Maintain all P.P.E. and use in appropriate manner.
Fill out work instructions and timecards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
JANITOR QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience in a shop/yard/warehouse environment.
Understanding of P.P.E. and shop safety.
Proven history of acceptable attendance and performance.
Be able to lift 25-50 lbs using proper lifting techniques.
Active driver’s license and clean driving record - 5-year MVR.
Ability to run company errands using personal or work vehicle as needed.
Possess the physical endurance and ability to perform the various physical duties of the position including prolonged walking, standing, bending, squatting, lifting, and working outdoors.
Good communication skills, good attitude, teamwork, and ability to follow directions.
Ability to follow and take directions from multiple people.
Experience with hand tools and power tools.
Must be able to meet or exceed all safety requirements of Bootz & Duke in additional to all OSHA guidelines.
Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening tests.
JANITOR EDUCATION:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) (preferred, not required)
JANITOR COMPENSATION:
Full-Time Position: 40 hours per week.
Pay Range is $18.00 to $22.00 Depending on Experience.
