Custom Molder/Contract Manufacturing company in Glendale AZ has an immediate opening for an Injection Molding Process Technician. Or Possible Maintenance Technician with Injection Molding Experience.
We process engineering and commodity grade materials on a 24-hour 5 day a week schedule.
We are looking to add an Injection Molding Process Tech to our Team. The right candidate will be a team player and be able to work independently.
Summary Position:
Set molds and auxiliary equipment according to programmed operation memory or sheet.
Process mold set-up according to established process sheet and obtain first piece inspection.
Maintain molding process throughout production run.
Mold cleaning during the production run.
Interface with mold maintenance on mold changeover and tooling maintenance.
Responsible for mold cleaning and proper storage after each production run.
Assist in the safe operation of all production equipment.
Perform basic machine maintenance.
Keep assigned machines clean including the floor under and around machines.
Performs other duties as requested by Department/Plant Manager
Ability to clearly communicate tooling & machine issues for correction.
Detect and diagnose surface defects of product, such as cracks, splay, drag lines, blemishes, color variations, etc.
Assist with all quality and production processes to insure a high level of quality and production efficiency on shift.
Maintenance experience would be a plus.
Working conditions:
Required to lift to 50 lbs.
Standing for prolonged periods of time.
Hands on in a production environment.
Fast paced environment subject to priority changes.
Employment is full time. Minimum of 40 hours per week.
