Factory and Crew Manager

Our leather store is recruiting for a new manager.

Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Factory and Crew Manager for our leather goods facility and national trade shows. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of 3-5 employees, overseeing daily operations, and coordinating activities related to trade shows. This role requires strong organizational and leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various tasks ranging from financial management to trade show booth setups.

Events are every other month, and last a minimum of 10-16 days. After the show, manager will facilitate the fulfillment of special orders with the factory, coordinate shipping and respond to customer inquires, conduct inventory and reconcile sales. Owner has other businesses in Scottsdale and may need light maintenance and repairs to those facilities as well as his home.

Responsibilities:

Crew Management:

Supervise and lead a team of 3-5 employees in the leather goods manufacturing process.

Ensure production goals are met while maintaining high-quality standards.

Provide training, guidance, and support to team members.

Financial Management:

Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and responsibly.

Perform monthly inventory checks and maintain accurate financial records.

Collaborate with the finance department to ensure financial goals are met.

Trade Show Coordination:

Plan and execute participation in several trade shows annually.

Set up trade show booths, including electrical setups and booth displays.

Represent the company professionally during trade shows, engaging with potential clients and partners.

Logistics and Vehicle Management:

Manage and maintain company vehicles, including driving a large truck with a trailer to transport goods.

Coordinate logistics for trade show attendance, ensuring timely delivery of products and booth materials.

Building Maintenance:

Oversee repairs and maintenance of the facility.

Address any issues related to equipment, machinery, or building infrastructure promptly.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in a managerial role, preferably in retail.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage and lead a small team effectively.

Proficient in financial management, including cash handling and record-keeping.

Comfortable driving a large truck with a trailer.

Previous experience in setting up trade show booths is a plus.

Basic carpentry and general mechanical knowledge including changing tires on truck and trailer, assembling trade show booth, and basic building maintenance for hanging equipment, and small repairs.
