Electronics Assembly & Test Technician needed for Automotive Startup

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Electronics Manufacturing Assembly & Test Technician to support the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of our proprietary electronic products. This role will be responsible for flashing PCBs, performing box-level assembly, executing system-level testing with our mobile app, tracking quality metrics, and ensuring seamless integration with our fulfillment and ERP systems. The ideal candidate has experience with small electronics assembly, circuit troubleshooting, and Bluetooth-enabled device testing. Familiarity with lithium battery systems and battery management is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Manufacturing & Assembly:

Receive and stage raw materials for assembly.

Perform box-level electronics assembly, integrating PCB, wiring, enclosures, and mechanical components.

Stage finished goods for shipment and coordinate with the fulfillment team.

Testing & Troubleshooting:

Flash proprietary PCBs, validate firmware installation, and troubleshoot issues as needed.

Perform unit- and system-level testing using the company’s proprietary mobile app and diagnostic tools.

Troubleshoot electronic circuits using a multimeter and other testing equipment.

Test and verify Bluetooth connectivity using tools such as Nordic nRF Connect and LightBlue.

Identify and document defects, failures, and issues for engineering resolution.

Quality Control & Documentation:

Track and log quality metrics to ensure product consistency and reliability.

Maintain records of assembly, test results, and defects in company ERP and reporting tools.

Log issues and defects in Jira and other issue-tracking tools.

Participate in quality reviews to improve assembly and testing processes.

Required Qualifications:

Experience in small electronics assembly, soldering, and mechanical integration.

Basic circuit troubleshooting skills using a multimeter and oscilloscope.

Experience with flashing firmware on PCBs and diagnosing hardware/software integration issues.

Familiarity with Bluetooth-enabled device testing and debugging tools (Nordic nRF Connect, LightBlue).

Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office for documentation and tracking.

Experience using Jira and GitHub for logging issues and collaborating with engineering.

Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control and documentation.

Experience working in a fast-paced startup or manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with lithium batteries, battery charging, and battery management systems.

Experience with ERP systems for tracking manufacturing and inventory status.

Familiarity with automated test equipment and scripting for hardware testing.

Basic understanding of wireless communications protocols (e.g., BLE, Wi-Fi).
