Hours: 5 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Previous work experience (8 years required)
Twin Spindle, Live Tool Experience a Plus.
CNC 5 Axis Experience a plus
Okuma Lathe, Haas Mill, Kitamura, Mori, Hitachi Horizontal
· Use of Probes, Edge finders, indicators, for finding work offsets, tramming vises, tooling holes, fixture flatness, etc.….
· Able to properly select cutters and holders per the set-up sheet
· Set Tool offsets
· Good understanding of G-code and M-code
· Make compensations to tool and work offsets
· Understanding of how to use more complicated inspection equipment (comparator, height gages, indicators, etc.)
· Correctly fill out First Article sheets
· Able to follow instructions from the job traveler
· Maintaining a clean and organized work environment at all time
· Good communication skills, working with operators to train them on how to run the machine.
· Verifying operators have all the necessary tools and paperwork needed to run the machine.
· Excellent attention to detail and quality of parts
· Complete required paperwork when needed
· Always aware of using a safe work environment and proper personal protection equipment
· Able to stand for long periods at a time
· Understanding how cutters function and what tools are best for certain applications.
· Ability to make small edits to programs when necessary
· Excellent blueprint reading skills, excellent understanding of GD&T and how to inspect features
· Work on rapid prototype parts
· Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues with setup/fixturing/programs etc.…
