We are looking to fill a position for an art handler which will provide part time hours. You will be joining a team of other art installers that have experience and are willing to train you on best practices; however, basic adequacy and familiarity of tools is a must. The ideal candidate would likely be an artist themselves, but is also willing to do heavy lifting. Job is located in the Biltmore area of Phoenix, where you then depart in the work van. There is steadily recurring work but the hours vary, so this is for someone interested in gig work or who has flexibility in their schedule. Pay and tips make it worth the flexibility, and the nature of the work is rewarding and different.
Responsibilities:
Transport and install various art pieces, including sculptures, paintings, and mixed media installations.
Ensure the safe handling and preservation of artwork during transport and installation.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Assist with gallery preparation and de-installation.
Possibility of over-night trips servicing art delivery and installation to neighboring states.
Qualifications:
Strong physical strength and stamina.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
