Entry-Level Sheet Metal Fabricator
This position presents an excellent opportunity to acquire hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication. As an entry-level fabricator, the successful candidates will collaborate with experienced team members to learn the fundamentals of the trade and support production during our peak season.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in operating sheet metal fabrication machinery under supervision
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Assist in measuring, cutting, bending, and assembling sheet metal components
Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery to manipulate metal materials
Load and unload materials, ensuring work areas are clean and organized
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), manufacturing orders, and safety guidelines to complete tasks efficiently
Operate equipment such as shears, brakes, and rollers under supervision
Help install and fasten sheet metal using screws, norloc, rivets, and welding techniques
Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to company and OSHA safety standards
Requirements:
No experience required but is a plus
Ability to read a tape measure
Basic mathematical skills
Ability to perform duties outdoors when necessary; shop is indoors
Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds
Consistent adherence to safety guidelines and procedures
Keen attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with hand and power tools
Physical capability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and work in varied weather conditions
Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Physical Requirements: The role requires the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and perform repetitive tasks with precision.
