We're looking for a dedicated individual to move in and be part of our population 6. Each resident is also an employee of the town. This is a one of a kind position at Tortilla Flat, don’t just come to work but be a part of a historic town with the most beautiful views in your backyard As a century-old, historic western town, our tight-knit staff and "family first" culture is what sets us apart from any other company. Housing is a 3 bedroom home.
Tortilla Flat is an old West Town located 18 miles outside of Apache Junction in the Tonto National Forest. We are currently seeking a full-time facilities / maintenance person that will perform various maintenance tasks to ensure our town stays open and fully operational.
We run a fully functioning fresh water and wastewater plant that must be in operation for the town/business to open daily. It is essential that these systems are functioning properly, and we will provide the necessary training to ensure our doors remain open to our guests.
We are Staffing for 1 position. We are looking for a candidate with Electrical Trades training and/or with Painting/Finishing Trade training.
Live on site candidates must complete a probationary period before moving in.
Essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:
- General building and facility maintenance
- Daily reporting and compliance logs for sewer and water plant
- Property trash pick-up and disposal (Compactor on Site)
- Cleaning and mopping guest restrooms daily
- Performing various tasks involving plumbing and electrical systems
- General cleaning/maintenance tasks necessary to keep vehicles, equipment, and tools in operable condition, which may include inspecting equipment, checking fluid levels, replacing fluids, greasing equipment, replacing parts, washing/cleaning equipment, or cleaning shop/work areas; monitors equipment operations to maintain efficiency and safety;
- Performs all work duties and activities in accordance with county and company policies and procedures
- Maintaining outside vendor scheduling using online calendars and email
- Operate a variety of mechanical tools and equipment such as power saws, power sanders, drills, plumbing snakes, routers, grinders, electric generators, and sump pumps
- Ordering and purchasing supplies and materials
- Excellent communication with facilities team and property leadership
- Working in a safe manner and reporting unsafe conditions or faulty equipment
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years general construction, maintenance, and Trade based Skills
- Water and/or sewer plant operations preferred
- Reliable transportation
