PDI Construction: a division of Paramount Designs, Inc., is a 74-year old, Arizona based company with a deep history in utility construction. Our specialties include trenching and excavation, directional boring, vacuum excavation, hydroexcavation and private utility locating.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibility is to utilize specialty equipment to expose underground utilities.
To perform general labor and site utility work in a construction environment as necessary for commercial or utility
construction projects.
Assist crew lead and/or local field management in construction work
Operate tools including jackhammer, chipping hammer, compressor, etc.
Maintain equipment as necessary and according to safety specifications
Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Previous underground utility experience (preferred - not required)
Valid Arizona Drivers License with clean driving record preferred
Experience with related construction equipment (preferred)
Must be able to perform physical manual labor duties within the workday
Ensure that safety equipment is used properly at all times and that work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
Must pass company drug testing procedures.
Must have the ability to lift heavy physical objects
Must be willing to work overtime as needed
Ability to comprehend and carry out instructions
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
Physical Requirements
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 75 lbs.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces
