Fiber Optic and Electronics Technician – Video Board Display
We are seeking a highly skilled Fiber Optic and Electronics Technician with expertise in fiber splicing, electronic systems, and video board display maintenance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Corning splicing technology and a strong background in installing, maintaining, and repairing fiber optic and electronic systems used in large-scale video board displays.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform fiber optic splicing and termination using Corning splicing equipment.
Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on fiber optic cables and electronic components to ensure optimal performance.
Install, configure, and maintain video board display systems and their related electronic components.
Work closely with engineering and operations teams to execute projects efficiently and on schedule.
Maintain accurate documentation of all splicing, testing, and repair activities.
Adhere to strict safety protocols and industry standards in all work environments.
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in fiber optic and electronic display technologies.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience as a Fiber Optic Technician with a focus on Corning splicing equipment.
Strong knowledge of fiber optic splicing, termination, and testing procedures.
Hands-on experience with video board displays, electronic troubleshooting, and integration.
Ability to interpret and work from technical schematics and fiber optic design drawings
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (Technical certification preferred).
Certification in fiber optic splicing is a plus.
Prior experience with Corning splicing equipment preferred.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
Willingness to travel as needed for job assignments.
