OEM manufacturer looking for a full time deburr / hand finish / machine shop help person
Location: North Phoenix (Deer Valley)
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 1st shift 5:00am – 3:30pm (10 Hour shifts)
The majority of our parts are CNC machined from billet and extruded aluminum, but a portion of our portfolio also includes steel components.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Burr removal from CNC machined components using the following methods/tools at a minimum.
Bench grinder style using scotchbrite or "gray wheel".
Mechanical deburring.
Handheld rotary tools.
Battery operated hand drills
Blast cabinet operation, most often in prep for anodize or plating
Tumble/vibratory deburring machine operation.
Help out in the machine shop. (Only as/when needed - this is not a machining position).
Maintain a safe and clean work space
A successful candidate must display the following traits:
Manual dexterity.
Ability to work with the tools listed above and any other tools required to complete assigned tasks.
Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions to develop a complete undserstanding of the requirements.
Understanding blueprints/mechanical drawings is a plus.
Ability to prioritize, stay focused, and complete repetitive tasks.
Maintain stamina, good work ethic, and reasonable attitude throughout the entire workday.
Have true integrity and willingness to speak up if something isn't right with the product, tools, or equipment.
Be accountable and responsible for producing good product and filling out associated documents.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, possibly multiple times, throughout the day.
