Here at our Phoenix, AZ location we're looking for individuals who can fill our crate and ship department who will be responsible for building crates and boxes according to required specifications. The successful candidate will work to complete the packaging process for our metal material to be transported by vendors and customers.
Current Hours
Monday through Friday 7AM TO 4PM

In this position some possible duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Use a variety of hand, power tools, and carpentry equipment following appropriate methods and procedures to prepare products and other items for pick up / shipment.
Communicate with supervisor and managers
Building custom size crates out of wood for daily orders
Building custom size boxes out of cardboard for daily orders
Inspecting final packages to ensure they meet qc standards prior to being released to staging areas
Labeling crates / boxes accordingly
Cutting wood to size
Cutting cardboard to size
Measuring materials
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Skills and Qualifications:
Practice problem solving and troubleshooting where needed
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
Strong Get it Done Attitude
Good knowledge of basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Lift / Move up to 50 lbs
Detail Oriented Skills / Attention to Detail
Communication Skills
Forklift experience - Training is available
Ability to work in a fast paced, high stress environment for long hours
Comfortable working on feet for a considerable amount of time
Read a tape measurer
Training is available for this position
Pay is based upon experience
Physical demands / Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand performing the essential functions of this job. The location of this position on the facility is located outside under shaded awing / area, but not within an inside warehouse.
