Job Overview: Live-In Caregiver Position

We are seeking a dedicated live-in caregiver to join our team. There are 2 positions available.

One position involves working 3.5 days a week, 8 am to 10 pm on Saturday, 8 am to 10 pm on Sunday, 8 am to 10 pm on Monday, 8 am to 3pm on Tuesday.

Second position involves working 3.5 days a week, 3 pm to 10pm on Tuesday, 8 am to 10 pm on Wednesday, 8 am to 10 pm on Thursday, 8 am to 10 pm on Friday.

You will be providing care for a client who has been living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) for 40 years and is wheelchair-bound. There is another caregiver that lives at the house that will work the other 3.5 days. As a live-in caregiver, you will reside at the client’s residence full-time, even during your days off, but are required to work only on your days.

The following benefits are included:

Pay is $600 per week paid by check or electronically deposited. No zelle or paypal.

You will receive a independent contractor agreement which either party can terminate at any time.

Utilities and Cable: All utilities and cable expenses are covered.

Transportation: You won’t need to use your car to transport the client anywhere.

Verizon Account: We will add you to our Verizon account, eliminating that expense if you want to switch off of your carrier account.

Room and Board: You won’t incur any costs for room and board.

Meals: All food expenses are also covered.

Responsibilities: As a live-in caregiver, your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with Daily Living Activities: Help with bathing, dressing, and grooming.

Administer medications and monitor vital signs.

Providing Companionship and Emotional Support: Be a friendly presence and offer emotional support to the client.

Housekeeping Tasks: Assist with meal preparation, laundry, and general cleaning.

Accompanying Clients: Accompany the client to medical appointments and social outings.

Documentation and Care Plans: Follow care plans and maintain accurate records of services provided.

Client Safety and Well-Being: Ensure the safety and well-being of the client at all times.

Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

Previous Experience: Prior experience in senior care or a related field is preferred.

Medical Knowledge: Familiarity with a suprapubic tube catheter and a colostomy.

Ability to lift the client using 90-point pivot transfers.

Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients.

Personal Attributes: Compassionate, patient, and reliable.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Must be able to pass a background check and have a valid drivers license so you can drive client in their handicap van. Also must be able to drive at night.
