Job Summary

The Dental Chaperone plays a vital role in ensuring a positive and supportive experience for children during dental visits. This position involves providing care, guidance, and education to young patients, helping them feel comfortable and secure in a clinical environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in dentistry and childhood development or related fields, along with strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both children and their guardians.

Responsibilities

Accompany children during their dental appointments and provide reassurance throughout the process.

Assist dental staff by preparing parents and children for procedures and helping them understand what to expect at their visit.

Maintain a safe environment for children, adhering to all health and safety protocols.

Communicate with dental staff and parents or guardians regarding their child's experience .

Assist the team with maintaining office safety protocol and policy.

Organize and help to maintain daily patient records.

Process and submit weekly patient safety reports, per board standards.

Requirements

Must be a Dental Assistant, Hygienist or Dental Professional and be able to show proof of training/certification.

Excellent communication skills to interact with both children and parents effectively.

A compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in promoting children's well-being during dental visits.

Must be show responsible work ethic.

Will require a open availability to work Monday- Fridays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week

License/Certification:

Dental Assistant Certificate (Required)
