FOUNTAIN OF JOY DDD group homes located in Mesa are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. We offer various shifts to accommodate your needs. Our dedicated caregivers collaborate with medical care teams and case workers to provide comprehensive care to our members, which includes everyday household tasks and accompanying members to their doctor's appointments.

Responsibilities:

Provide assistance, monitoring, and training in the areas of self-care, self-direction, independence, mobility, and learning, as outlined in the Individual Service Plan (ISP), to enhance each individual's skill development, health, freedom, and personal dignity.

Maintain the cleanliness of the environment.

Possess effective communication skills.

Assist in behavior management and crisis intervention.

Administer healthcare, including medication, nutrition, allergies, and meal planning.

Assist with safety skills, such as basic first aid, fire drills, and handling emergency situations.

Maintain confidentiality and privacy.

Meet the requirements of federal, state, and local organizations, and maintain meticulous record-keeping.

Uphold optimal attendance and reliability.

Exercise good judgment and the ability to evaluate and anticipate consequences.

Fulfill any other duties as assigned.

As a Caregiver / Direct Care Professional:

You are a mandatory reporter. If you suspect any form of abuse or neglect, you must promptly contact the appropriate authorities, DCS/APS, and your direct supervisor.

Complete incident reports as directed.

Maintain current qualifications and training.

Standard Shifts:

Our standard shifts encompass various options, including day, night, and overnight shifts throughout the week. We promote flexibility within your preferred schedule. Here are the standard shifts our DSPs work:

Basic Qualifications:

18 years of age or older.

1 year of caregiving experience is preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

A valid driver's license is preferred.

CPR/First Aid certified.

Article 9.

Prevention & Support.

Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license.

Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal.

The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or scheduled form.

Must be capable of frequently lifting/moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting and moving more than 100 pounds.

Completion of training programs and successful passage of associated tests.

Ability to obtain a Level 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and pass a background check as required by state and federal regulations.
