My name is Alex 31 year old male and I have muscular dystrophy. I am looking for a caregiver, I need someone that is reliable. I need help with feeding, making food, showering, restroom and light housekeeping. I feel more comfortable with a male caregivers but I've worked with female caregivers in the past and I am okay with working with females in the future. I have 20 hours a week with the option to do 10 extra hours. I currently work with Consumer Direct under Self direct program with this program I have to do the hiring they just pay the caregiver. If you're interested steps, you could take- first you could give me a call, text or email set up an appointment to meet me. I will give you a packet/application to fill out- second you would take the application to the offices of Consumer Direct. They will process the application and they will let me know when you could start, usually takes about four days to do so. There will be one day of training that I will pay out-of-pocket for from my previous caregiver to show you how to do things.
