I'm helping my grandparents look for a personal cook/chef to cook dinner for the two of them and sometimes two guests on Mondays and Thursdays. The meal would need to include a salad, main (protein + side/veggie), and a simple dessert. I'm thinking it could be plated and coursed but pretty simply and casually, if you feel that's doable. The meal can be fairly simple but needs to be of good quality, fresh, and from scratch as much as is reasonable. I'm thinking something that would feel slightly more special than home cooking but nothing overly complicated. They are not able to eat out much anymore so this is basically to replace that activity.
- Prep can be done at home and/or in their kitchen (a card can be provided or groceries can be refunded)
- Shopping and cleaning would be expected (though there may be some help with clean up from their caregiver)
- They will sit down to eat around 5/5:30pm and eat for about an hour
- Ideally candidate will have some experience working in a kitchen, meal prepping, catering or similar
- Hoping to get someone in for a paid day or week trial asap
If you're interested, please email me with your resume, a reference and a quick little sample menu for a hypothetical week.
Thank you!
Claire
