We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook to join our team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and execution of high-quality meals in our restaurant. Duties:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications to ensure consistency and quality
- Monitor food stock levels and communicate any shortages to the kitchen manager
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets food safety standards
- Set up workstations with all necessary ingredients and cooking equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
- Assist with cleaning duties as needed
Skills:
Previous experience as a Line Cook or similar role in the food industry
- Knowledge of food handling and safety procedures
- Strong understanding of different cooking techniques and methods
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent knife skills for cutting, chopping, and slicing ingredients
- Attention to detail to ensure precise measurements and presentation of dishes
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with the kitchen team
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
