We’re seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Bakery Delivery Driver to join our team and help us bring our products to our wholesale clients, as well as maintain the smooth operation of our bakery.
Position Summary:
As a Bakery Delivery Driver, you will play an essential role in ensuring that our wholesale orders are packed, delivered, and presented on time. This position requires a combination of delivery, inventory management, vehicle maintenance, cleaning, and overall support to keep our bakery running smoothly. You’ll be starting your day early, with shifts beginning as early as 1:00 AM to ensure fresh products reach our customers on time.
Key Responsibilities:
Wholesale Order Packing & Delivery:
Pack wholesale orders accurately, ensuring all items are carefully organized and ready for delivery.
Safely deliver baked goods to wholesale clients, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
Maintain communication with clients to confirm delivery times and special requests.
Vehicle Maintenance & Care:
Perform regular checks on delivery vehicles to ensure they are in safe and working condition.
Conduct basic vehicle maintenance, such as checking oil, tire pressure, and fluid levels.
Keep the delivery vehicle clean and presentable at all times.
Cleaning & Dishwashing:
Maintain cleanliness of the bakery’s kitchen and delivery areas, including washing dishes and utensils used during packing and preparation.
Assist with general cleaning duties to maintain a safe and organized environment.
Shopping & Inventory Support:
Assist in grocery shopping for bakery supplies when necessary.
Help with restocking inventory and organizing the bakery as needed.
Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required).
Previous experience in delivery driving, food service, or a similar role is preferred.
Ability to lift and carry boxes of baked goods (up to 50 lbs).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Must be reliable, punctual, and professional.
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance is a plus.
Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
Availability for early morning shifts starting as early as 1:00 AM.
